Autocad Lt 2002 Service Pack 1

I am trying to get AutoCAD LT 2002 working in Windows 7. I did searching on these boards and from what I read the solution is to install the AutoCAD LT 2002 service pack (upgrading AutoCAD to verison 44) and then instal the gedit 3 compatibility patch (upgrading it from verison 44 to 47. The problem I have is that when I run the service pack installation program (K030ltss1_K044_aclt_unl.exe) I get a message that my installation is already up to date. However when I check the version in autoCAd itself it says that it's still at version 30. Deos anyone have any suggestions?
